Early 17th-century goatskin over bevelled wooden boards, sides panelled with heads-in-medallion rolls, leaf ornament stamps at centre and in spine compartments, turn-ins tooled with heads-in-medallion roll, two fore-edge clasps (tear at head of spine, clasp catches worn, a little rubbed).
