Daniel for Thomas Buck, and are to be sold by John Williams, at the Signe of the greyhound in Pauls church-yard, 1640. 2nd Edition. 11 1/2 by 8 inches rebacked with a modern leather spine and new endpapers, retaining the 17th C. full calf covers. With the additional engraved pictorial title and the "declaration of the Frontispiece." Lacks the folding map. Fuller (1608 - 1661) is most famous for his "Worthies of England," published in 1662. This work is a History of the Crusades. Condition: Leaf A4 with old tape repair; leaf 231/232 with tear to margin but no loss of text. Contents with intermittent foxing, occasional staining, but generally clean -- binding sound and attractive.
