Beschreibung:

Rare tête de Kore archaïque Le visage souriant révèle l’influence de l’art ionien. Les yeux sont sculptés en amandes entre des pommettes saillantes et un front dégagé sur lequel retombent de manière appliquée des franges méchées. Les cheveux sont ceints par une «stephanè», un large serre-tête ou diadème structurant la coiffe. Au niveau de la calotte crânienne le rendu de la coiffure est simplifié alors que de longues mèches parotides, ondulées, retombaient jadis sur les épaules. Ornements d’oreilles circulaires. Rare archaic Kore head The smiling face reveals the influence of Ionian art. The eyes are almond carved between prominent cheekbones and an open front on which to fall applied manner of highlighted heads fringes. Hair is girded by a «Stephané», a wide headband or tiara structuring the cap. At the level of the cap skull rendering the hair is simplified while long strands parotid, corrugated, once fell on his shoulders. Circular ear ornaments. Greek Art, probably attic.
