THE HIGHLY RARE AND SOUGHT-AFTER NOVAL '31 Provenance: Acquired from the collection of a renowned Southern collector who acquired these two bottles from early US auctions. His reputation for exceptional storage conditions and his immacualtely detailed cellar records spell incredible provenence. Michael Broadbent, MW. on the Quinta do Noval 1931: A great vintage, caught between the hugely popular and much bought 1927s and the overstock and slump that followed. It was therefore not generally declared and is famous for one wine (Quinta do Noval) that I have always described as "the Everest of Port" because of its monumental qualities. Previous Justerini and Brooks bottled 1931 Novals noted have been Nacional. MB. Quinta do Noval--Vintage 1931 Wax capsule damaged on top. Wax embossed "Justerini, Brooks Bailey and Co."
