Contemporary red half-morocco, spine gilt, edges sprinkled red (text block detached, joints starting, some wear). Provenance : M.I. Utkin (wax-stamps) -- V.M. Utkin (inscription and signatures, one dated 1879, the other 1887, some marginalia) -- an inscription on the fore-edge. FIRST BOOK-FORM EDITION OF PUSHKIN'S BEST-KNOWN WORK.
