pseudo-Catullus.- Navagero (Andrea) Orationes duae, Carmina que non nulla, collation: [*]2 a-b4 c2 d-f4 g2 h-k4 l6, Roman type, title with woodcut vignette, without final blank (as often), some small areas of marginal staining, occasional spotting, later wrappers, upper wrapper detached, taking with it first 2 ff., lower wrapper detached, folio (272 x 192mm.), Venice, [Joannes Tacuinus da Trino for the friends of the author], March, 1530. ⁂ Scarce work by this Italian humanist, poet, historian and diplomat, with verses in imitation of Catullus. Navagero worked as an editor with Aldus Manutius Literature: Adams N94; EDIT 16 CNCE 34919. Provenance: Contemporary ink inscription of a Brother ?Gregorius announcing himself as custodian of this book or possibly the whole library of which this a part (ink inscription beneath colophon).
