PRUSSIA AND POLAND -- STREIT, FRIEDERICH WILHELM (d.1839) AND CARL FERDINAND WEILAND (1782-1847). Topographical Militarische charte von den Konigreichen Preusen and Polen und dem Grossherzogthum Posen in 85 sectionem. Weimar Geographical Institute: 1815. Survey of East Prussia and Poland on 85 engraved sheets, complete (including 5 narrow sections numbered as sheets, 11, 18, 26, 73, 74), each larger sheet 330 x 440mm. The survey incorporating a title sheet with index and a separate sheet with a plan of Danzig, with a contemporary MSS listing of sheets unbound as issued, in an old portfolio. A fine military survey of East Prussia and Poland from the Geographical Institute at Weimar. This 85 sheet survey represents the first stage of a 217 sheet project to map Prussia, Poland, Hungary, Croatia, Slavonia and Transylvania. As the sheets for each region were finished and published so the map grew over time. The East Prussia sheets were first published in 30 sheets in 1813, the present map followed in 1815; together with M.J.Liechtenstern. Regna Galicae et Lodomieriae...nec non Bukovina .
