Capt, Genève• Dial: white enamel, Roman numerals, outer minute ring, moon hands, signed to the base H. Capt, Genève• Case: gold, the back chased and engraved with flowers and foliage heightened with blue enamel against a stippled ground, the top with blue enamel bordered roundel centred by a white fleur-de-lys beneath a stylised coronet, to the base a polychrome enamel painted scene of a castle beside the sea, a sailing ship in the mid-distance within a horizontal mandorla-shaped blue enamel frame, front and back with pearl-set bezels, pearl-set pendant and bow, plain polished gold cuvette with apertures for winding and hand-settingdiameter 33mmCondition reportMovement: running for short periods at time of cataloguing, will need a clean and service. Winding and hands are setting smoothly. Dial: with some light scratches, the dial plate itself is slightly loose. Hour hand a little bent towards the arbor and slightly out of alignment with the hour. Case: painted enamel scene appears to be in good condition. There are some chips and losses to the blue enamel border beneath the pearl bezel of the case back, otherwise decorative scheme in generally good condition, one of the blue enamel leaves with minor chip to its edge, a couple of pearls to the bezels are cracked, 3 pearls missing to bow/pendant.
