Both covers with tears; spine ends and outer corners dam. With handwritten school prize awarded to "de brave jonge dochter Elizabeth de Vaal. Wegens haare goede vorderingen in de schooloeffening te Maarssen", dated 25 March 1793 and signed by several members of the school board. Very rare Maarssen prize binding, Spoelder doesn't mention Maarssen anywhere in his work (albeit that this is a primary school binding).
