A letter to the famous settlement house pioneer in the last year of her life: "As always, I am very glad indeed to hear from you and learn your point of view on any subject. I appreciate too, your very kind comment. Your suggestion will have very serious thought." -- COOLIDGE, Calvin (1872-1933). ALS ("Calvin Coolidge") to Monsignor O'Connell, 21 April 1922. 2 pp., 4to., Vice-President's staionery, two punch holes along top edge . Coolidge expresses good wishes for the recovery of O'Connell's mother. -- HOOVER, Herbert C. (1874-1964). TLS ("Herbert Hoover") to Lawrence F. Abbott, Washington 4 June 1928. 1 p., 4to., Department of Commerce stationery, one-inch hole top left corner . Hoover asks Abbott to judge a set of essays to determine the winner of the American Chemnical Society's Prize Essay Contest, in which the winners will receive scholarships "to Yale, Vassar or other accredited institution." -- TRUMAN, Harry S.
