PUBLISHER'S ADVANCE COPY, of the first edition in book form, issued in wrappers with top edge unstained and untrimmed. This copy contains a typed presentation note mounted on the front free endpaper verso from Gladys English, an editor and reviewer for The Horn Book, to "Hazel," presenting this volume. Beneath the slip is a pencilled note which reads: "Story Hour in Ivanhoe at which I told 'Wee Meg Barnileg & the fairies.'"
