FIRST EDITION IN BOOK FORM, preceded by the first issue in 1906 in the commerciallly unsuccessful wallet panorama format (see lot 198). There is no definite date of publication, but according to Quinby it is after 1913 and before 1917, while Linder contends it was published in 1916. For this edition a new color illustration was added for the frontispiece, a new vignette appears on its title-page, and an illustration is repeated from the 1906 wallet-form edition as its pictorial label.
