First edition of this collection of the poetry of Richard Crashaw (c.1613-1649), a noted anti-papal preacher, derived from his most famous work, Steps to the Temple. Quite scarce: only six copies are listed in the RLG Union Catalogue. Lot Amendments Condition: Some discoloration and wear to the covers, spine rubbed, old ink writing to rear board; darkening to top and bottom gutter corners of prelims. and latter leaves caused by the binder's glue, else very good.
