The pictures comprise all of the color plates from Geo. M. Hill Company edition of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, but two of them are pasted face down on the insides of the front and rear wrappers, as issued, so only the blank versos are visible. Russell's story is printed on the backs of the plates. Bienvenue & Schmidt suggest that this was produced as a give-away for audience members at the 125th performance of the theatrical version at the Majestic Theatre in 1903. Bienvenue & Schmidt, p.146.
