First edition, warmly inscribed in 1973 to the New York photographer Dorothy Gelatt "To Dorothy Gelatt/with much sentiment/reminiscing Paris/and pleased with your/appreciation of my work/A. Kertesz/Sept. 27-1973." Original publisher's cloth in dust jacket. 9 1/2 x 7 inches (24 x 18 cm); 148 pp., illustrated after Kertesz's photographs throughout. Laid in is a late gelatin silver print, in large format, unsigned of the Seine view on page 90 of the book, and a small unsigned print, possibly of the photographer himself. Open Book pp. 138-39, Parr and Badger The Photobook Volume I, p. 200. C Estate of Dorothy S. Gelatt, New York, New York
