Large 8vo (ca. 23 x 15 cm.), orig. dec. gilt(-lettered) cloth. – And 2 others. (4x) ¶ Ad 1: First edition by the British Brigadier-General Percy Molesworth Sykes (1867-1945). With loosely inserted leaflet “With the Author’s Compliments”. – In fine condition with the rare original dust-wrappers (partly browned). ¶ Ad 2: First edition of a travel-report by the American bishop of the Methodist Church John Philip Newman (1826-1899). With signed dedication by “M[is]s Newman” [=Angeline Ensign, wife of the author] in black ink on verso frontisp. – Binding sl. rubbed/ worn along extremities. Occ. sl. foxed/ browned, but nevertheless in good condition.
