On a burnished gold ground a blue initial with foliate terminals, in the infill a pink-walled room with a tiled floor where the Virgin and Apostles kneel looking up at the Dove of the Holy Spirit who descends on a cloud through an oculus in the ceiling, a bifolium from a Gradual with 5 lines of text and music, one large calligraphic initial in brown and one large red initial with mauve flourishing (rubbed, loss of ink and some pigment and gold). Framed and glazed, double-sided. With: Two other choirbook bifolia 1) ca. 560 x 800mm from a Gradual, with 6 lines of text and music, two large initials of red and blue with divided staves and flourishing of mauve and red extending to form borders, two decorated flourished initials; 2) ca. 490 x 710mm from a Hymnal, one large blue initial with flourishing of red and ?mauve forming a bird and foliage in the infill, 1 two-line and 9 one-line decorated initials of red and blue with contrast flourishing. (Both 1 & 2 faded). Framed and glazed, double-sided.
