Stott returned that year only to have the post abandoned again by William Clayton on the Penguin's voyage in 1774. Howgego B141. [James Bland BURGESS]. Letters lately published in The Diary, on the subject of The present Dispute with Spain. London: for G. Kearsley, 1790. 8° (205 x 126mm). Later wrappers, red morocco slipcase and cloth chemise. First edition. Sabin 40603. Not in the British Library. 2 items by William Clayton a printed extract and a photocopy of his ms. deposition. (4)
