pen and black ink, tip of brush and ink, watercolour, over touches of graphite, heightened with white, on buff laid paper, 360 x 300 mm., extensive contemporary pen and black ink note on loose sheet attached to reverse of frame, possibly written in Czech, central vertical and horizontal folds, some repaired splitting, handling creases, light surface dirt, circa 1729 § Vue perspective de la decoration elevée sur la terrasse de chateau du Versailles..., Cochin (Charles Nicolas, 1715-1790), After, and after Antoine Sebastian Slodtz (1655-1726), etching and engraving, by Jean Ouvrier (1725-84) and Marvie, Martin (1713-1813), on thick laid paper, 470 x 935 mm., faint central vertical fold, minor damp-stains visible lower right, some browning, with brown line upper right corner, otherwise occasional light surface dirt and spotting, unexamined out of frame, circa 1751; and 2 other views of Genève (4) *** First mentioned traditionally understood to show a design for an arch intended for Hradschin, Prague, to mark the canonization of St. John Nepomuk.
