Exposé à la Biennale de Venise en 2009, à la Biennale de Valence en 2003 et à la Biennale de Moscou en 2007 et 2017, Pavel Pepperstein a co-fondé en 1987 un groupe expérimental d’artistes, Inspection Herméneutique Médicale, s’opposant vivement à l’influence de la culture occidentale sur la culture russe, à la dissolution de l’URSS. L’artiste a principalement été exposé en Russie et en Suisse lors d’expositions personnelles mais également au Guggenheim de Bilbao et de New York aux côtés de son groupe Inspection Herméneutique Médicale en 2005 et 2006. Ses œuvres ont intégré des collections internationales prestigieuses comme celles du Centre Pompidou à Paris, du Moscow Museum of Contemporary Art ou encore de la Deutsche Bank Collection à Berlin.

‌Exhibited at the Venice Biennale in 2009, the Valencia Biennale in 2003 and the Moscow Biennale in 2007 and 2017, Pavel Pepperstein co-founded in 1987 an experimental group of artists, Inspection Medical Hermeneutics, strongly opposing the influence of Western culture over Russian culture, after the dissolution of the USSR. The artist has been exhibited mainly in Russia and Switzerland in solo shows, but also at the Guggenheim in Bilbao and New York with his group MInspection Medical Hermeneutics in 2005 and 2006. His works have been included in prestigious international collections such as the Centre Pompidou in Paris, the Moscow Museum of Contemporary Art and the Deutsche Bank Collection in Berlin.
