Historique : Formée à l’école des Arts appliqués de Stuttgart et membres du « Deutscher Werkbund » d’Hermann Muthesius, Paula Strauss est une des premières femmes designers. Travaillant pour l’orfèvre Peter Bruckmann entre 1925 à 1933, puis pour la Württembergische Metallwaren-Fabrik (WMF), elle participe à plusieurs expositions internationales et notamment l'Exposition universelle de Barcelone de 1929 où elle remporta un vif succès avec ses objets en argent. Paula Strauss meurt en 1943 à Auschwitz.
