An Unfinished Romance, 1896, covers a trifle soiled , publisher's embossed stamp "Presentation Copy" on title-page, Sir Arthur Quiller-Couch's copy with his pencilled signature and bookplate; Essays from the "Guardian," 1896, blue boards, paper spine label , LIMITED EDITION, one of 100 numbered copies "Printed for Private Circulation at The Chiswick Press," edited anonymously by Edmund Gosse, tipped in at front is an autograph letter signed (initials) from Gosse to "My dear Foote," [London], 1 February 1897, one page, small 8vo , inquiring if Foote has a copy of this book and offering to send him one.
