Bury, from the author, 1893," with some marginal markings and an annotation presumably by the recipient; Studies in the History of the Renaissance, 1873, endpaper slightly cracking at front inner hinge , author's first book, ownership inscription on half-title of James William Oddie (Senior Fellow of Corpus Christie College, Oxford, friend of John Ruskin etc.). Stetz & Lasner 93 ("The central document of the Aesthetic movement..."); Appreciations. With an Essay on Style, 1889, apparently F. Holland Day's copy (of the publishers Copeland & Day) with pencilled ownership inscription on front endpaper; An Imaginary Portrait, [Oxford: Daniel Press, 1894], 12mo, printed gray wrappers, yapp edges, cloth folding case , LIMITED EDITION, one of 250 numbered copies, bookplates of George F. Timpson and Oliver Brett (Lort Esher). Stetz & Lasner 96; Gaston de Latour. An Unfinished Romance, 1896, covers a trifle soiled , publisher's embossed stamp "Presentation Copy" on title-page, Sir Arthur Quiller-Couch's copy with his pencilled signature and bookplate; Essays from the "Guardian," 1896, blue boards, paper spine label , LIMITED EDITION, one of 100 numbered copies "Printed for Private Circulation at The Chiswick Press," edited anonymously by Edmund Gosse, tipped in at front is an autograph letter signed (initials) from Gosse to "My dear Foote," [London], 1 February 1897, one page, small 8vo , inquiring if Foote has a copy of this book and offering to send him one.
