Interesting long letter, narrating the Patchen’s negotiations with the Univ. of Texas for the Kenneth Patchen archive, which ended up a disaster with Texas backing out just shortly before completing the arrangements. 1965. * 1-page typed letter signed “Miriam + K.P.” to the Blairs, dated July 23, 1965 on hand-made paper, hand-painted and hand-drawings by Kenneth Patchen With his hand-painted envelope and paste-on hand-written labels, postmarked. * 1-page autographed letter signed “Best Miriam + Kenneth” to Ed Blair, on hand-painted hand-made paper by Kenneth Patchen colored in yellow and written in green, folds into a self-envelope, postmarked Feb. 27, 1965. * 2-page autograph letter signed “Miriam Patchen” on single sheet hand-painted hand-made paper by Kenneth Patchen colored in yellow and written in green, folds into a self-envelope, postmarked March 4, 1965. * 2-page autograph letter signed “Miriam” on single sheet hand-painted hand-made paper by Kenneth Patchen colored in yellow and written in blue pen, folds into a self-envelope, postmarked April 8, 1965. * Two 2-page autograph letters, both signed to Ed Blair by Miriam Patchen, one dated March 11, 1967 with mailing envelope, other dated just May 9 with no envelope. * 1-page autograph letter signed to Ed Blair by Miriam Patchen, dated Feb. 5, 1972.
