Lot of 2 silver gelatin prints, including 16 x 6.75 in. hand-colored photograph of Crow Camp along the Little Big Horn River, Montana, lightly copyrighted in ink at lower right to "Elsa Spear Edwards." With tear along top edge extending into center of print. Another shorter tear along left edge, near center. The daughter of Willis Spear, cattleman, dude rancher, and Wyoming state senator, Elsa Spear Edwards Byron (1896-1992) was a professional photographer and historian of the Sheridan County, Wyoming area. She served as a guide for the dudes who came to visit her father's Spear-O-Wigwam dude ranch, using her many trips into the Big Horn Mountains as an opportunity to take photographs of the area. Plus 37.75 x 8 in. panoramic photograph titled in the negative "Indian Camp. Frontier Days. White River, S.D." and credited to "Bell, 1928." Poor condition, with significant loss at lower left and lower right corner and edge. With some staining along top, few holes and surface damage, creases throughout.
