R.); together with the recipient’s father’s International Order of Good Templars Medal, small gold (9ct.) shield, reverse inscribed ‘Forty Four Years Membership completed by Andrew Lockhead 1914’ with top suspension bar inscribed ‘Presented by Wilts District Lodge 23rd February 1914’ good very fine Pair: Acting Colour Sergeant E. H. Upson, Essex Regiment British War and Victory Medals (2781 A.C. Sjt. E. H. Upson. Essex. R.) good very fine Pair: Private J. Butler, Somerset Light Infantry British War and Victory Medals (241582 Pte. J. Butler. Som. L.I.) heavy edge bruising and contact marks, good fine Pair: Private F. J. Hagley, Somerset Light Infantry British War and Victory Medals (21740 Pte. F. J. Hagley. Som. L.I.) in damaged card box of issue, with outer transmittal envelope addressed to ‘Mr. F. J. Spurling, Bedfordshire Regiment British War and Victory Medals (33279 Pte. A. Spurling. Bedf. R.) in card boxes of issue with outer transmittal envelope named to ‘Mr. A. Spurling, Bell Hill, ...’, good very fine (13) £180-£220 Footnote Andrew Lockhead was born in Glasgow, and attested for the Wiltshire Regiment at Melksham, Wiltshire. He served with the 2nd/4th Battalion during the Great War in the Asiatic theatre of War from 25 August 1914, and died in Mesopotamia on 6 July 1916.
