Likely of Portuguese origins to ownership, these stunning chairs with barley twist legs and stretchers, profusely carved front apron beneath upholstered seat and centre back rests. The chairs elbow rests terminating in carved figural dragon masks, the back rests with barley twist columns and pierced carved detailed surrounds to the upholstered centres. Carved crown top rails, the barley twist columns terminating in finials to each side. The chairs having one blue and one red upholstered centres with Portuguese coats of arms and latin inscriptions. Measures 149cms high x 69cms wide x 78cms depth
