Paar Heiligenfiguren auf vergoldeten Holzsockeln Deutsch um 1700. Holz, geschnitzt, polychrom gefasst und teilweise vergoldet. Figuren in Harnisch und langem Mantel, eine Hand an die Brust gelegt, den anderen Arm angewinkelt am Körper. Eine mit blauem Mantel und rotem Unterkleid, die andere mit rotem Mantel und blauem Unterkleid. Jeweils ein Arm fehlt, eine Figur am Gewand best. H. 30, B. 11 cm . Da die zwei Frauen im Paar auftreten und mit hochgestecktem Haar dargestellt sind, könnte es sich um die Hl. Katharina und die Hl. Barbara handeln. Die Attribute Schwert und Rad bzw. Turm und Kelch waren vermutlich an den fehlenden Armen angebracht. Pair of saints on separate gilt bases. Germany circa 1700. Carved wood, painted in polychrome colours and partially gilt. Each figure with a lost arm, one figure chipped to the coat. As there is a corresponding pair of them and their long hair is pinned up, these could be depictions of Saint Catherine and Saint Barbara. Their attributes sword and wheel respectively tower and chalice were most probably attached to their missing arms.
