'Simeoni's abridgment of the Metamorphoses begins on leaf a6v, printed in the manner of the 1557 Metamorphoses figure , with Bernard Salomon's woodcuts, captions in roman letter, Simeoni's verse legends in italic letter, and ornamental borders throughout.
