Beschreibung:

Norton introduced their innovative ‘Commando’ 750 roadster in 1968, the model providing a ten-year success for the maker. With a smooth, flexibly-mounted version of the existing Atlas engine in a lightweight and well-handling frame, the machine found instant and lasting favour with enthusiasts. The later ‘Interstate’ version was a particularly handsome machine, with its large petrol tank gold-lined in the traditional manner. The final version of this, and of the machine itself, was the 850 ES which was updated with electric-starting and left-foot gear change, and made in relatively small numbers in Wolverhampton, rather than Andover. This lovely example has had one owner, and therefore, one rider only from new. In absolutely original and sparkling condition, with only around 4600 miles recorded from new, TNN 690R is today’s nearest equivalent to buying a new ‘Commando’. It really is that good, only a small area of micro-blistering on the tank betraying its thirty years. Complete with V5 and both Owner’s and Workshop manuals, this carefully serviced and maintained machine is only for sale because of its owner’s advancing years. It will grace any Norton collection.
