''Sceilg,'' A very good collection of approx. 20 pamphlets, speeches and leaflets, 1921-1947, including some scarce items, bound together in green cloth, evidently bound for the author. Includes, - ''The Truth about the Treaty and the Irish Free State,'' 8vo N.Y.[c.1922] - ''The Case of Upholding the Irish Republic,'' 8vo N.Y. [c. 1922]. - ''The Oath of Allegiance,'' 8vo D. 1925. - ''The Robbery of Ireland, The Remedy,'' D. 1928. - ''The Claim of the Irish Republic,'' D. 1928, and about 15 others, some not bearing O'Kelly's name but presumably drafted by him (one with manuscript signature at end). As a coll., w.a.f. Good. * O'Kelly, from Valentia Island in Kerry was President of the Gaelic League 1919-23, Deputy Speaker of the First Dail 1919-21, and Minister for Education 1921-22. He opposed the Treaty, represented Sinn Fein in the U.S.A., became President of Sinn Fein when De Valera resigned to set up Fianna Fail, and remained a resolute Sinn Feiner all his life.
