As a coll., w.a.f. Good. * O'Kelly, from Valentia Island in Kerry was President of the Gaelic League 1919-23, Deputy Speaker of the First Dail 1919-21, and Minister for Education 1921-22. He opposed the Treaty, represented Sinn Fein in the U.S.A., became President of Sinn Fein when De Valera resigned to set up Fianna Fail, and remained a resolute Sinn Feiner all his life.
