the prince holding a lap dog and wearing a high cap, the princess holding a basket of flowers and wearing a lace headdress, on moulded plinth bases, each with a contemporary applied paper label, the former inscribed PRINCE JAMES, Son of King James 2nd (called the old Pretender), Born June 10th 1688, Died Dec 30th 1765, the latter with some losses to the edges of the paper and part inscription presumably reading as The Princess MARIA LOUISA TERESA, Daughter of King James of (the) small palace of St Germain, Born June 28th 1692, Died April 18th 1712, the former figure, 113cm high, 29cm wide, 12cm deep, the later figure, 114cm high, 30cm wide, 12cm deep approximately (2)
