Author: Bob Everitt, photographer Place: [Long Beach, California] Publisher: Date: [1951-52] Description: 29 pp. of mimeographed text and 28 original photographs. (Oblong 12mo), metal binding clasp. A Good-humored commemoration of a typical cruise during the Cold War of this 255-foot class cutter to the Pacific water station Fox. Commissioned in 1946, the Minnetonka was scrapped in 1974. Images range from a portrait of the captain (Edward E. Hahn, Jr.] to group portraits of each of the visions; “action shots:” of men in the radio watch, the boat drill, target practice, launching of weather balloons, or preparing to serve chow. Semi-candid shots of such activities as volleyball, watching a movie, fishing, or men posing with their woodworking accomplishment in the craft room [aka., the “Hobby Lobby”]. Lot Amendments Condition: General light wear and toning; very good. Item number: 292190a
