Lot of 4, including: Bradley, Omar Nelson (1893-1981). Senior World War II commander, five-star general, and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. A 1945 issue U.S. three cent postage stamp commemorating the U.S. Army's march through the Arc de Triomphe, signed Omar N. Bradley in blue ink, and affixed to a TLS on Bradley's five star General of the Army stationary. Yeager, Charles Elwood "Chuck" (1923-). U.S. Army/Air Force test pilot most famous for being the first man to fly faster than the speed of sound, and later named a Major General in the U.S. Air Force. A sheet of four 1957 issue U.S. six cent stamps commemorating the 50th anniversary of the U.S. Air Force, signed Charles E. Yeager / Col. USAF across the sheet and in the margin. Walsh, Don (1931-). Oceanographer and deep sea explorer, famous for making the deepest manned dive in history, with Jacques Piccard in the bathyscaphe Trieste (1960). A U.S. five cent postage stamp honoring the U.S. Naval Academy, signed Don Walsh / Lt. USA, plus two signed U.S. Government memos to the collector. Doolittle, James Harold (1896-1993). Army Commander, later named a U.S. Air Force General, who was awarded the Medal of Honor for leading the first aerial attack on the Japanese mainland in 1942. A 1945 issue U.S. three cent postage stamp commemorating the U.S. Army's march through the Arc de Triomphe, signed J.H. Doolittle, plus the accompanying envelope, signed along the left edge.
