Not enough, 2016 Encre et acrylique sur toile, signé, titré, daté et situé Paris au dos 53 x 53 cm - 20 7/8 x 20 7/8 in Ink and acrylic on canvas, signed, titled, dated and situated Paris on the back ANCIENNE PROVENANCE: Galerie Marcel Strouk John Andrew Perello, dit JonOne, nait à Harlem en 1963. John Andrew Perello, aka JonOne, was born in Harlem in 1963. As he was starting to tag his name on walls and subway trains, he met A-One (Anthony Clark , a close friend of Basquiat, who convinced him to see his work as art, not vandalism. A few years later, the young man founded 156 All Starz, a collective consisting of various graffiti artists. Now known as JonOne, the artist moved to Paris in 1987, where he began to paint on canvas. A self-taught artist, he raised graffiti to the rank of noble art. His painting, which he describes as «Abstract Expressionist graffiti», focused particularly on the agitation and movement of colour, and his works were soon appearing in exhibitions in Paris, Tokyo, Monaco, New York and Hong Kong. The two canvases presented here are speaking illustrations of his vibrant talent.
