Condition: browning to extremities; some detachment of front board with losses to head and tail of spine and cracking to fron hinge. Provenance: M.R. Shiers, 1872 [inscription]. first edition. Condition: foxing and browning throughout. pp. 384-480 are completely missing, appearing to have been cut out of the book, removing the spine and binding itself, only the top and bottom binding cords join the two parts together.
