Map of the continental U.S. from eastern Texas to the east coast, including the Great Lakes and southern Canada, whose main feature is the course of the Mississippi River. The map was based on Delisle's which worked from the reports of Jesuit explorer Hennepin, who explored the upper Mississippi and Great Lakes region in the 1680s.
