(3) ⁂ The recipient Constance Louisa Boycott (née Agg) began training at the Nightingale Nurse School at St Thomas's Hospital, and three years later in 1900 she went with the Army Nursing Service to South Africa, having been sent by Florence Nightingale to inspect the conditions of military hospitals.
