AN IMPORTANT NAPOLEON LETTER TO FOUCHÉ REPORTING ON THE VICTORY AT DRESDEN. Giving details of their successes through Saxony, Napoleon closes by promising more great successes as the French army moved north. Written in what would be the closing days of the Napoleonic Wars, Napoleon's missive here to Fouché touting their success was calculated in part to keep Fouché's allegiance, forever in doubt. Unfortunately for both, Dresden would be Napoleon's last great victory.
