8x22mm Nambu caliber. 3.75" barrel length. SN: 50065. Self-loading pistol in holster with fixed iron sights and checkered plastic grips. Shows a rough metal finish with factory bluing intact. Right side of frame shows "{Chuo Kogyo}" arsenal marks with "{Nagoya}" supervision. Date marks indicate item manufactured in March, 1944. Item comes with a matching magazine and an original leather holster with additional nonmatching magazine. Most serial numbers match but item has a replacement hammer. Provenance:From the Collection of Ralph Edward Smith Condition: Very good. Bore is very bright with strong rifling and oil residue throughout. Overall metal finish shows some cycling wear with weakening to edges of cocking piece and lanyard loop. Some patched loss to finish on frame. Checkered grips show strong checkering but chips to bottom of grips. Upper insert to left panel is chipped leaving little material to hold it in place. Holster shows abrasions and crazing over flap with some fraying to stitching. Brass snap is tarnished and belt loops show some patina. Discolored spots to interior of flap from previous mold growth. Both magazines are Japanese marked with magazine in pistol showing strong finish while polished magazine in holster has spotted gray patina. Action of item is functional.
