IN A JEWELED BINDING SET WITH 24 GARNETS AND 10 SAPPHIRES by Sangorski and Sutcliffe, blue morocco, upper cover with central sunken panel of green morocco set with 24 garnets, with a bird of paradise executed in onlays of red, tan and brown morocco, outer panel with blue and green floral onlays, lower cover with central circular sunken panel with a bird of paradise executed in similar onlays set with 10 sapphires, outer panel repeating that on the upper cover, spine in six compartments with five raised bands, gilt-lettered in two, the remaining with repeated floral panel, blue morocco doublures gilt, with central tan morocco panel centering an arabesque executed in blue onlay and gilt, brown morocco linings, gilt and gauffred edges, the lower doublure gilt-stamped "RD. No. 599140," in fine condition; black morocco folding case (cover detached, worn). Later edition, in a very fine Sangorski and Sutcliffe binding.
