Frontespizi stampati in rosso e nero, stemma calcografico del dedicatario Guglielmo V d'Orange a c. *1r del tomo primo, fregi xilografici. Qualche arrossatura, una tavola con bruniture. Legatura omogenea in pergamena su cartone, titoli in oro ai dorsi, tagli rossi. Qualche macchia e alone si piatti dei vari tomi. Al piatto anteriore dei tomi primo e quarto etichetta con segnatura manoscritta. Il nostro esemplare del tomo IV contiene in fine un fascicolo R4 con paginazione 385-390, [2] con laTable des Matieres, pertinente al Tomo V di questa stessa edizone delle Opere di Montesquieu: presso i medesimi editori uscirono, dal 1759 al 1777, varie versioni degli scritti del filosofo e pensatore francese ricordato soprattutto come padre della teoria ancora oggi alla base della moderna scienza politica: la separazione dei poteri. Vellum over pasteboards, gilt titles on the spines, red edges. Some stains and spots on the covers of the various volumes. On the front cover of the first and fourth volumes label with ink iscription. Our copy of the IV volume contains at the end a quire R4 with pagination 385-390, [2] with the Table des Matieres, pertinent to the V volume of the same edition of the Opere by Montesquieu: from the same editors were printed, from 1759 to 1777, various versions of the writing of the philosopher and french thinker remember mostly as the father of the theory still today at the base of the modern political science: the separation of powers.
