One of Montblanc's most elusive limited editions, this 149-sized pen was jointly designed by Montblanc's Creative Director, Zaim Kamal, and BMW's Head of Design, Karim Habib, to celebrate the motorcar company's centennial. Only 100 pens were made, one for each of the 100 cars in BMW's exclusive Individual 7 Series. The pens were only available to buyers of the $300,000+ Individual 7 Series cars; auction records indicate that this example is the only one offered for public sale. Rhodium-plated brick lattice, inspired by the Merino leather interiors of the BMW Individual 7 Series, over brilliant blue resin, matching the Individual 7 Series exteriors. The captop device is engraved "Montblanc For BMW" and features a quartz Montblanc star set in black onyx. Rhodium-plated 18K gold nib in large Diplomat size, engraved with BMW's "7" motif, size not indicated. Plain white outer box, illustrated inner box, blue lacquered wood display box, blue leather pen tube embossed "Montblanc For BMW," service guide. Pen still sealed in original plastic sheathe.
