Created largely by the developer Carl G. Fisher, Montauk Beach was home to a yacht club, a golf course, a "tennis auditorium," a luxury hotel, and many buildings in Tudor Revival style. The photographs and illustrations include views of lighthouses, manors, recreation activities, club houses, fishing, maps, yachts, landscapes, polo, horse riding, railroad stations, ferries, domestic architecture and beaches.
