.54 caliber, 36" round barrel. Notched rear sight. Marked near the breech on the top of barrel US, JH and P in circle. Dated 1842 on the tang; marked under the pan US Deringer Phila, and dated 1841. Iron pan, walnut stock. Condition: Barrel retains most of the original brown faded to a plum. Lockplate has been cleaned to bright. Stock with nice dark look and sharp lines. Tools are in the patchbox; screwdriver and worm.
