Date: 1864 Description: Printed map. 19x23.7 cm (7½x9¼"), laid on linen backing. Scarce little map of San Francisco, with west at the top (going a bit beyond Baker street), Lewis at the north (beyond Alcatraz Square and Beach Street), Stuart, Berry and Drumm to the east, and Twenty-Third Street to the south. 'New Potrero Omitted" takes up a blank space in the southeast corner. The blocks are numbered. There are two similar maps listed in OCLC/WorldCat, both undated, one with street railroads shown in red and precincts in green (at the California Historical Society, the other at UC Berkeley), but the present map has no listings. Lot Amendments Condition: Some soiling and minor wear, discoloration from the glue used in mounting; good to very good. A rare map. Item number: 288039
