MEROVINGIAN FRANKISH GOLD AND GARNET SWORD SHEATH MOUNT 5th-6th century AD A right-angled mount decorated on the outer face with triangular gold cells and cloison garnets; two rivets to the end for attachment to the frame of the sheath, accretion from the iron blade remaining. 21 grams, 88mm (3 1/2").
