Engraved plan of Venice on six sheets, joined, overall size image 770 x 1585 mm (798 x 1615 mm sheet). Dedication with decorative drape and cherub surround, large compass rose, plain title set on upper border, numerous decorative ships and gondalas surrounding the Doge of Venice's Galley (right margin reinforced on verso, a few short tears, repaired on verso). Framed. A fine, clean copy with dark impression of Merlo's reissue of Scolari's plan of Venice See J. Schulz, "The Printed plans and panoramic views of Venice (1486-1797)" in Saggi e memorie di storia dell'arte, no. VII (1970) p. 73-74.
