An extremely fine and rare 18K pink gold, enamel, diamond and ruby-set keyless cylinder pendant watch with matching chatelaine Signed Mellerio Borgnis, circa 1880 With gilt-finished cylinder movement, gold cuvette, the white enamel dial with Roman numerals, pierced gold and paste-set hands, in circular case with diamond and ruby-set bezel, rim and bow, the reverse decorated with translucent grey enamel on guilloché background and set with diamond and ruby-set initials EJB , later crown, together with an 18K vari-colour gold, diamond and ruby-set châtelaine, the shield-shaped coat-of-arms flanked by two gold lions, motto L'Honneur Guide Mes Pas on white enamel, all surmounted by a gold, pearl, diamond, ruby and emerald-set crown, the clip set with a gold heart, cuvette signed 30 mm. diam. & 126 mm. overall length
