Modern panelled calf antique. Provenance : D. Goldsborough (early signature on title); Essex County Law Library (old stamp on title). THE FIRST BOOK PRINTED IN ANNAPOLIS AND THE FIRST COLLECTION OF THE LAWS OF MARYLAND. Parks, the first printer to establish a press in Annapolis, later moved to Williamsburg (see lot 43) but maintained his Annapolis office and was printer to the assembly. The collection carries a full-page dedication from the printer to Charles Calvert Lord Baltimore. The contents embrace the laws of the province from 1692 to 1727.
