MARCEL VERTÈS (1895-1961): THE BULLFIGHT Three-part painted screen, 1947, signed 'Vertès and dated upper right. 6 ft. x 8 ft. 3 in. Note: Vertès was a French costume designer and illustrator. He won two Academy awards (Best Costume Design and Best Art Direction) for his work on the film Moulin Rouge in 1952.
